Funding: where to find it, how to get it - Tuesday 27th November

Our next Historical Research Forum will take place on Tuesday 27th November at 5.30pm (as always, 3.16, Arts II building). There's refreshments from 5pm.

Funding: where to find it, how to get it

Concerned about financing your much-needed research trip abroad? Worried
about having enough money to photocopy documents and eat all in the same
month? Cautious to apply to conferences because you don’t know how you
can pay rent, pay your flight/train ticket and pay your hotel bill? Has your
Stretton Fund application been lost in black-hole of paperwork and you need
help sorting it out?

JOIN US for our upcoming Historical Research Forum event on the art of
finding funding. As we all know, enrollment is down and financial cuts are
happening across the board—therefore, being able to find (and secure)
funding outside of the School of History, QM, and London itself is an
increasingly stressful reality. So, let’s help each other out. We hope to have a
mix of first, second, third year and beyond students. Topics covered will range
from local and international funding options to how to construct a successful
scholarship application.

Who: Open to all Researchers in the School of History
What: An event discussing the tricks of finding funding
Where: Arts II, Room 3.16
When: Tuesday, 27 November at 5.30pm (refreshments from 5pm)
Why: Because we all need it.
